About Our Parent Company:

CSI Surplus is a division of Cycle Systems Inc. Cycle Systems is a metal, paper and plastic recycling company that began in the early 1900's. Cycle Systems now has 8 locations (and is steadily expanding) throughout the state of Virginia, USA.

How CSI Surplus Developed:

The Vice President of Cycle Systems realized a need for internally located parts and supplies that would be readily available to repair various unique equipment throughout our facilities. Many of our larger commercial vendor accounts scrap large volumes of electrical parts and equipment thus creating an avenue for new and used surplus parts. CSI Surplus was originally created to provide internal distribution of these various parts. The growth of the recycling industry has steadily increased over the years, and our parts inventory soon began to grow exponentially.

Our staff was assembled to create an outlet for distributing this recovered inventory, either through outside sales contacts or via eBay, as well as providing internal support to our parent company for these items. In just over two years we have made a substantial difference in recovering surplus items and re-introducing them back into the marketplace at a cost far less than other distributors. We also frequently travel to many states to buy additional inventory at industrial auctions.

We have become a driving force on eBay for sales of industrial automation and electrical distribution products. We currently have a 28,000 square ft. warehouse full of inventory and continue to grow daily.

In order to separate us from other businesses, we have staffed ourselves with competent knowledgeable employees that research these products to provide the essential information that is needed for you the consumer. In doing so, we are also highly knowledgeable about the products we sell, their uses, and applications. This helps use better serve your needs when making decisions about the products you purchase.
